Staff development
Is there enough flexibility in next years schedule to have days without visits? I know its tight, but if we had a Monday off once in a while we could do things like staff retreats, education meetings, and staff development. If this was a possibility are there any ideas of places we could visit?

If we went somewhere as a group (The Museum of Science in Boston or the Smithsonian’s soon to be opened ocean exhibit) we could use the time down to talk about what going on at GMRI and the time back as a way to reflect on what we saw and ideas that may come of that.
The math is that we need to get 13,300 kids (dropping slightly each year over the next 4 years) through in 36 weeks. At 40 students/presentation, that requires 333 presentations/year. At 2 presentations/day, 10 per week, that's 34 weeks. While that doesn't leave a lot of margin, there could be 10-12 days available (depending on whether snow days are made up). There are also occasional days available during school vacation weeks. Ros will have good insight about the likelihood of our averaging 40 students/presentation.
