Assistance for Hearing Impaired Students
We noticed today that though we have the iListen devices to assist hearing impaired students during the presentation, we have nothing with which to help them out at the stations besides just turning up the volume. TomO had the idea that we should rig up a headset splitter at each station with an individual volume control. Perhaps this could be taken care of over the summer?

If the students carry around their iListen, or whatever device they have (they usually bring their own) - you can sit the part that you would wear around your neck while presenting at the station. Have a chaperone hold it upwards towards the speakers if that is helpful, or have the students teammates take turns holding it as they are talking to the student.
This has worked well in the past.
But I do agree that it is hard to hear the stations...even for the non-hearing impaired. But turning up the volume will only effect the other teams from hearing their own stations.
