Cool Lesson Idea
One of the teachers from Wells told Dave and I about a cool lesson idea yesterday. She has the kids make up random longitude and latitudes and find them on the map. They then record if their location was on land or in the ocean. The next step is to compile the whole classes findings and to figure out what percent of the locations were on the ocean. The kids learn geography, percentages and that the world is ~75% ocean!

Sounds like lots of fun. Let's include this, with Tom's idea of charting it with Google, with the teacher workshop suggestions this summer.
